Young driver surcharge

Is there a young driver surcharge?

Yes, if you are under 25 years of age, you may have to pay a surcharge in order to rent the car.

As the Young Driver Surcharge may change depending on various parameters, please start your reservation online and look for the link “Rental Qualifications and Requirements” at the end of the vehicle page (step 2) or the confirmation page. Then, select the option “Age Restrictions and Exceptions” in the drop down menu in order to find out more about the rates proposed.

      Dear Peter,

      Thank you for your question.

For the UK for a Group A / B / C vehicle, the young driver surcharge is currently GBP 30.84 (including tax) per day with a maximum charge of GBP 308.40 (including tax) per rental.

You can find the info by selecting Age Restrictions which can be found under Estimate Total section on Your Personal Information page when booking.

      Kind regards,
